Scheidt Residence

2,500 SF renovation for an Upper East Side apartment faced a challenge; the building did not have an elevator large enough to deliver oversized materials. Vanguard hired a crane to transport the kitchen island countertop, and some of the client’s furniture, up to their penthouse home. The design revolved around generous use of a rich walnut veneer to fabricate the architectural millwork including open bookcases, paneled walls, an upholstered headboard, cornice and baseboard trim, desk with drawers, doors, and storage units. Scope also included wood floors, bathrooms, window treatment, and a kitchen with marble counters, terrazzo floors, a sliding Corian pocket door, and custom cabinetry.
