Jessica McCormack Flagship Store Featured on Who What Wear

To celebrate the grand opening of her first U.S. Flagship store, famed jewelry designer Jessica McCormack sat down with Tara Gonzalez, Senior Fashion & Social Editor, for an exclusive interview with Who What Wear. In the article, McCormack discusses everything from her early days as a jeweler to the excitement of her NYC store on 743 Madison Avenue. Below is an excerpt from the conversation:

Q: How did you decide to open a store in New York? What made it feel right?

JM: We chose New York for our first international store because of the incredible enthusiasm and support we’ve received from our US clients. It’s exciting to finally offer them a space that they can visit closer to home.

Q: What are you most excited about with this new store opening?

JM: I have always loved the city and to have a space on one of the most iconic shopping streets in Manhattan offers us such a great opportunity to reach more people, while welcoming familiar faces. I am most excited about really getting to know our American clients, for myself and the team to spend that time with them in person will be invaluable.

Vanguard recently completed Pre-Construction and Construction Management services for a townhouse renovation on behalf of UK jewelry designer, Jessica McCormack. The new multi-level flagship store features an upper and lower gallery showcasing jewelry, private study, office, library, new stair, bathrooms, and a pantry and safe room. Scope includes a new traditional wood and glass storefront, facade restoration, new MEPS/FA, wood floors, custom architectural millwork, vitrines, lighting fixtures and controls. Renovation of a residential corporate apartment with new floors, ceilings, HVAC, millwork cabinets and trim, kitchen and bathroom, to follow.
