Dana Craighead

Project Scheduler

Trained in Construction Management, Dana’s experience interning with Clark Construction and Herrero Builders on commercial projects allows her to supervise, document, inspect and liaise between multiple disciplines. Dana is responsible for producing and updating initial Master Project Schedules across all of our active projects. She works closely with clients and the Vanguard Operations team to interpret project drawings, review Long Lead Items, and intuit the constructability and logistics of building a job. Her ultimate goal is to create and maintain an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect with the Vanguard team, our clients, and our trade partners. When she’s not at the job site, you can find her in various contemporary dance studios around the city.

“As a choreographer of contemporary dance, I have to put myself in the shoes of the unique movements and artistry of every dancer onstage, whether there be two dancers or twenty. I imagine all the dancers as one flowing, ever-changing entity, even if they all are doing remarkably different movements onstage. My strength of seeing the bigger picture shows up in my ability to schedule construction projects. I understand all the moving parts, the way they interact, and how they can benefit from each other’s successes to create a finished product. Like dancers onstage, each trade onsite flows beautifully together with the proper schedule management.”
