Mateo Galeano Londoño
Raised by a civil engineer parent, Mateo Galeano Londoño worked as a project engineer for several years before re-directing himself toward construction. Mateo’s experience working for the New York City Transit MTA on rehabilitation and renovation projects, and for VRH Construction Corp. on retail jobs at LaGuardia and JFK Airports, allowed him to supervise, document, inspect and liaise between multiple disciplines, all excellent preparation for his role at Vanguard. On an array of jobs, he manages submissions, maintains flows of up-to-date information, and supports his project teams. HIs curiosity and enthusiasm for the crafts of architecture and building have helped Mateo become an integral part of our organization.
“Even when I studied engineering in college, I was drawn to the visual arts. Arriving in New York City, I took architecture courses at City College and loved it. Nowadays I think about: how can we make a design great, and also, what are the forces that hold a building up?”

Mateo holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Tufts University, Medford, MA an EIT License and Certification, and also, a 30HR OSHA certificate. He relaxes by singing or playing guitar. If architecture and construction had a soundtrack, we imagine Mateo could perform it!
