EDAW
10,000 SF offices for AECOM achieved a Gold LEED accreditation through our Construction Waste Management Plan which recycled 75% of waste generated on site, an IAQ Indoor Air Quality Management Plan with SMACNA standards that protected the HVAC during construction and sequenced the installation to avoid contamination by absorptive materials––insulation, carpeting, ceiling tile, or sheetrock––and performed a flush-out to test air contaminant levels. Materials sourced from within 500 miles included HM frames of 75% recycled steel, FSB millwork, low energy lighting, Lutron controls, 30% recycled glass, low VOC paint, carpet with recycled fibers, and existing wood floors. Scope also included a new skylight providing ambient light, a central meeting room with customized sliding steel and glass panels, restrooms, a reception desk, and coordination with workstations, IT and security.
